It was the the first plug connector from the left rear wheel sensor, it had to be cut and and installed some new weather proof connectors. To bad they all can't be easy fixes! Hopefully the issue gets sorted out on these other trucks.

I've had 4 GM HD trucks over the years with zero issues like this. My last 2 were a 14 and now my 16. I've also had 2 HD Dodges, and 2 HD Fords. Neve had any issues with any of them with electronics, brake controllers, ect. Just the usual EGR with my Ford 6.0 and shitty seats in my Dodges. Lol. Hope they fix the issue. It is warrantied which is a good thing but your original dealer sounds like a bunch of yahoos so find a better dealer. I like my GMC dealer locally.

I've been to three dealerships. The warranty isn't doing me any good because they can't fix it. Chevy customer service told me they aren't taking any action. Buyer beware.

I understand your frustration. Please don't blame your truck for something that may not be it's fault. I just went back through the entire thread. I have to ask you agsin, have you or the dealer try towing a different trailer with this truck? You really need to know which unit is causing it. As an arbitrator, I'd be asking you how you could prove its the truck and not the trailer if you want it lemon lawed.
Just trying to help,,,,,
If I missed it in there, forgive me.

I know you said you didnt want to trouble shoot and felt that you didnt have to but have you tried hooking up to a different trailer yet? I know there were a couple people (myself included) recommending it. This will isolate the problem between the truck or trailer?

Since it only happens when towing you need to rule out if it is happening when you tow everything/anything or just your trailer.

Thanks Springer dad for the advice. I brought the trailer in with the truck twice at different dealers. I took the trailer with the truck to an RV service place to verify the hitch set up. I think it would help my case if I have documentation of the trailer wiring being inspected. It's a 2016 trailer under warranty and I have a couple cosmetic issues to get fixed. Might as well have them check wiring.

Suicide Saints- The problems with hooking up another trailer are 1) I don't have another trailer and 2) It's an intermittent problem. It's happened after 200 miles, 800 miles, 1200 miles, etc. The last dealer test drove the truck with trailer for 90 miles, only to have the issue again after I took it a few hundred.

You may want to do a search on The Diesel Place forum. Lots of good info there even if your model isn't a diesel. It's all about GMC.

Understandable, me personally I would still try everything I could, maybe borrow a friends trailer and tow it for a day, all it would cost is fuel and time, just a thought. Just trying to spit ball ideas, I hope you get it worked out, I know it is frustrating when your stuff doesn't work right, it drives me crazy.
