The older 6.0 gasser with 4L80 tranny came stock with the 3.73s which is RPO code GT4. 4.10s were an order option with RPO code GT5. The 4.10s came stock with the 8:1 though.

I have a 2004 2500 6.0 gasser with the 3.73s.

I have an '05 GMC 2500HD 4x4 with 4.10 rear end. It gets 7-8 mpg towing and about 12 otherwise. Not my daily driver, I use it for towing or hauling materials. Nice truck with nice features though, just not economical. Also if you plan to tow over mountain passes on a regular basis you better go diesel.
