That is called up-chucking.

Here's the wedge I made. The back of it also holds up the alum filler plate for my tonneau cover.

It is a Reese Revolution wedge used when you activate the Revolution hitch which locks the pinbox from turning and letting the trailer pivot 22" behind the pin. Used for short bed pickups to gain cab clearance.

Thanks, I was wondering. After over 25 years of trailer trucking I had never seen anything like that. I think the folks complaining about Chucking have never pulled anything but a bumper Pull trailer. If the trailer weighs more that the TV it will push you around, back and forth, Chucking I guess. IMHO

I had furious chucking when we first picked-up our 5th wheel. I called an experienced friend to the house. We lowered the height of the hitch 4" and moved the hitch forward to the first "hole" setting.
Fixed.
If I had more in the way of discretionary funding I'd get a shocked king pin and air suspension in the truck.

Ok so update for everyone who has been so helpful. We packed the 5er will all our goodies hitched it up and pulled if on fwy for couple miles. Still wasn't happy. So came home lowered the hitch to the last hole. The positive is it pull much smoother. The bad...I'm still a tad nose high and my clearance between nose. About 1 1/2 difference between rear and front of 5er and bed rail at tightest point is barely 5". Makes me a tad nervous. I'll take a picture in a bit. So which is the lesser of two evils? The chucking or being a little closer to level but losing a little distance between bed rails? Dealer says I will be fine and never hit unless I am completely off camber. Thoughts? Thanks again for all the feedback.

While I've always shot for 6" of bed rail clearance I've got by with as little as 4".
There were times with that I had to be careful though.
I wouldn't worry at 5".
The more level, the better.

I think I will leave it alone for now and just be cautious with deep driveways etc. As for being completely level I don't think it's going to get any better. Flipping the axles isn't an option due to style so...guess that's it.

Raised Truck?
Has your TV been modified in height? Such as raised? If so this could be your problem. The more level you get your whole system the better you will be. Check your air pressure in your rear tires of your TV, Try max pressure in rear tires. Try carrying 1/2 tank of fresh water if your fresh
water tank is in the front. Sometimes just a small change will correct the
chucking.
Good luck.

The truck and RV ride almost dead level, we are back to almost no chucking. A level RV is allot easier on torsion axels and tires also. Expansion joints on bridges and concrete highways do cause chucking. Sometimes an adjustment in speed can reduce the chucking quite allot where there are expansion joints.

Truck and trailer are level after installing the kit from Dexter. The truck has standard rear coil springs & shocks. No air bags. 1.5K to 1.7K pin
