Clarification on Solera Towing

Will the 2014 Solera safely tow dual axel tandem trailer w/electric brakes and car loaded weighing a combined 5,000 lbs? Discussing w/ another owner who says he is towing similar set up w/no problems. Just want to know if rig will handle the load providing I do not have water tanks full and carry no more than 400lbs of cargo.

I would certainly think it would be rated for 5000 pounds. Weight distribution hitch would be well advised. Id do some, checking with FR first.

Thanks. Agree with contacting FR. Seems to be lots of different towing numbers tossed around for the Solera. Anywhere from 4200, 4,720 to 5,000. I usuallly do not load anymore than 400 lbs of cargo, but need to verify the actual capability given the car will be loaded on tandem trailer. Seems you can tow more weight with tandem and then balance car to take weight off the tongue. I am sure we have some Solera folks out there who know and have the experience.
