Cooling fan

Just got back from the Grand Canyon and from Needles to Amboy the temp was 114 deg.At home the next day my main elect fan was noisy as in bearings so I ordered 2 fan motors and 2 fan blades to rebuild the whole unit. My question is has anyone any tricks as far as installing the spring clips that hold the fan blade to the motor. Do you just slide them in place or maybe a little locktite on them? Sure seems like they would have used something stronger for being that close to the radiator. Thank You Mike
