1st 5th wheel, and we are sitting at 13'2", with a 2015 Ram short bed diesel, factory air ride and 5th wheel prep. Long time 5th wheel owner and engineer friend recommended the Reese sidewinder. Our hitch guy installed with B&W companion receiver and says we are as low as we can go. We have the Crusader 315 RST and are really concerned about our down the road height. Should we look for a lower receiver to rectify (our is sitting at 17")?
Should we put the factory pin box back on?
I've got the companion hitch f/ a flatbed model 3050 and it measures 10 1/2" off the bed to top of 5th wheel plate.
u would have to check your clearance on the PU rails.
might work for u.

Cheap way....mine had spacssrs in back, between axle housingà and springs,,.,.removed...had to add threads to U-bolts.....Fronts..,,made clamps to pull 2 coils down together.....could of cut 1 coil off, but didn't. Ride un-changed.
