I think the fact that everyone is missing is how to stop! After ten years in a Class A with a two, the weight being in the area of 26,000 lbs, and have ving dumb 4 wheelers pull in front me, not realizing that I can't stop the damn thing on a dime, I have had more than my share of close calls.
Now I am pulling a 16.000# 5th wheel, with a 10,000 truck and the last thing I want to do is set up a fish tail situation by going faster than I need to and then having to slam on the brakes because of some dumb ass I am sharing the road with. 55 to 60 is good for me

I'd run 70+ all day if I could. Unfortunately in Oregon the speed limit is lower than most other states. I have new Carlisle HD tires rated at 81 mph. My Ram CTD CC LB handles my 28' 9000 lb 5er like it's not there. Just got back from a 900+ mile trip. Ran 64 mph most all the time except when in Cal. Ran 60 mph there.
JMO here of course but if the truck and trailer are a proper match and conditions exist then I see no reason not to run 65 mph plus. I don't run fast in traffic or in areas where conditions are uncertain. Out on the open range when it's you and an on coming car every 3-5 mins it's ridiculous to put along at 55-60 mph.

See sig for rig.

100 KPH, which is right around 62 MPH.

Around 10-12 mpg in mixed light rolling terrain. Will spike 13-15 running straight flat road with no wind, but that's only temporary at best.
