Curt X5 gooseneck to 5th wheel rails adapter - sloppy
I bought a Curt X5 gooseneck to rails adapter plate for installing my hensely Trailer Saver TS3.
I emailed Curt today, but being a weekend, I don’t expect a response. But, this just looks bad.

There are a set of thin rubber shims that are supposed to go under the rail plate and that takes up the slack that you're seeing. However, even without the shims the rails will sit hard on the bed once you're hooked up.

Yikes, does that clamp around the ball and tighten down or does it go in the square socket like the b&w?

Never mind, I googled it. That is a lot of slop in my mind. Interested to hear what they have to say

Down into the square socket. So it’ll limit how far it rotates, but it has to be hard on everything with that kind of movement.

There were four 2”x3” rubber pads that 2 came off before I got it out of the box. But they can’t be thick/tough enough to do a lick of good.

I am not familiar with that type of hook up BUT although the rails are not bolted to the bed allowing for easy removal and leave the bed open I would not use that set up.

None yet. No response from Curt. I guess I am going to need to call them.
