DC Power to Electric Winch
I confess a mild form of retardation when it comes to electrical issues and I am confronted again with a problem that I'm going to have to ask a rather simplistic question. I am contemplating the purchase of an electric winch to pull my 375lb scooter on to my trailer, but the best of these (and cheapest) are DC. My problem is I know not how to attach these to the motorhome. The battery is 38ft away from where the winch will be. Do I run some wires under the vehicle to get juice? I'm afraid any answer you suggest will have to be very elemental.
