Now he is willing to come down to a lower price than his pay-off? Apparently he does not have anyone else looking and wants out really bad. Sounds like he would have to give up an additional $1,500 over pay-off...that is a chunk of change. I would still be really suspicious about that "resealed" roof. Why is he so desperate to get rid of this RV that he is willing to take such a loss? If you count from where he started....he is willing to go down $2,900.

I do not know many that want to get rid of an RV so badly as to willing take that kind of a bath. Either something is wrong with the RV (the roof?) or he is in dire need of getting out from under his payments. I sure would find out which it was before plunking down the money. Have to be darn desperate to sell and still have more to plunk down on the payoff.

You might want to find out who re-sealed the roof and find out what they actually did. A 5 year old trailer should not need roof work other than basic maintenance.

Just color me suspicious and curious. Good luck!

I am also going to throw my 2 cents in here as well.

If you have a short bed you may need a sliding hitch and or a diffrent pin on the front of the trailer to keep it from hitting the cab - my parents had 99 Dodge 2500 quad cab short bed (6" bed) and had to have a diffrent pin installed on the camper to keep it from hitting the cab - which it barely cleared it too with the new pin.

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with a short bed (6.5" bed) - you mentioned 4 wheel disc brakes - just because you have disc brakes doesnt mean you can stop it - I used to tow a 21 foot boat without trailer brakes (not a wise move on my part)- it would stop great on dry surfaces but once the surface got wet - it was all I could do to keep it from sliding cause the brakes would lock up - only did that a couple of times and then parked the boat cause of other issues with the hull. I was saving for a new trailer with brakes but the hull never made it that far - now I have a brand new camper
