I can't believe Ford and GM don't put gauges on these DEF tanks... thats stupid.

It seems like my DEF gauge never moves.. I have only added 2.5 Gallon in the 4,000 miles I have had the truck.

PS... Jimmy, DEF is not what is used to clean the exhaust filter. The modern systems inject fuel (diesel) into the filter to burn it clean. DEF is injected into the exhaust stream ahead of the DEF where it is used as a chemical scrubber for NOX. DEF usage is simply a percentage of fuel used... When towing you use more fuel hence more DEF used.

That was the biggest reason I traded my 2011 Silverado 2500HD for my Ram 2500. Oh and also the lame ass place they put the fill nozzle.
