I have the Demco autoslide installed on my 2017 Ford F350 pulling a 2019 Brookstone 310RL. For the most part no issues using this hitch to tow. There was chucking at first but that is because the adjustable rails on the autoslide were not tight/close enough to the 5th wheel hitch pin plate. Once re-adjusted now no chucking. You have to make sure the front to back is also adjusted using the adjustment bolt on the Demco truck cab side of slider hitch.
One of my challenges is mostly with unhooking. The hitch pin latch on the Demco seems to always slide back towards the closed position when I lift the fifth wheel. Not a huge deal but I keep having to check the position of the hitch pin latch on the Demco before I attempt to unhitch. Sometimes hooking up is also challenging if things are not lined up perfectly as the alignment of truck, Demco and 5th wheel hitch does not allow for much tolerance.
Would I prefer to use an Anderson Ultimate Gooseneck hitch? Yes but I do not want to buy one just to find out that I cannot do any sharp turns (like I can with a slider). Would love to borrow one to try first. The Brookstone 310RL supposedly can support 90 degree turns without a slider cause it has the cutback front cap. Trying to find a dealer online that will let me return the Anderson if I am not happy with it but doubtful that I will find one. My truck has the gooseneck ball setup already.
In summary, I like how the Demco autoslide performs but do not like the challenges of hooking and unhooking.
Something I forgot to mention. The reason I went with the Demco verses the Pull Rite slider is because the Demco does not require a special capture plate attached to the 5th wheel hitch. You may need to replace the adjustment rails on the Demco for a special hitch (trailaire for example) but they cost little compared to Pull Rite capture plates.

We had a Demco I would drop the safety pin into the slide arm once I pulled it out as far as I could, worked for me.
