Did I figure this correctly?

Did I figure this correctly? One assumption made is that load will be adjusted to keep axle weights in specification
2014 RAM 3500 SLT CREW CAB 4X4 8' BOX 6-Speed Automatic Transmission
From Door stickers
GVW 12300 lbs GAWR FRONT 6000 lbs GAWR REAR 7000 lbs
Max Cargo and passengers 4112 lbs

Myself, wife and dog -450
Hitch and adapter rail -270
Empty truck tool box & tonneau cover -110
Total cargo capacity remaining 3282
Mfg empty pin weight -2800
Cargo capacity of truck remaining less 482
difference of actual pin weight
GVW Trailer 15300x20% for estimated pin
of 3060. 3060-2800 -260
Approximate cargo capacity of truck remaining 222

From RAM tow site GCWR 25000
Based on entering my VIN
From Door sticker GVW -12300
Max trailer weight I can tow at GVW 12700
Empty trailer weight -12200
Max cargo capacity of trailer 500
This would be with no margin for either number, correct?

If you are that critical and think you are close to max. I would suggest to take it to a CAT Scale at a truck stop and pay $10 and find out exactly what you have on each axle.
It is always better to know the true weight that way.

I did that the other day and was about 600 lbs under on both axles and about 2500 under on GCW. How ever the wife wasn't with me and we have removed some weight from the trailer but will be replacing it with different items. The scale is 50 miles away and so I was looking to see if my thinking on this was correct so my revised loading has a shot at being in.

I think you are OK. You now know that you are close to max and have to watch what you add from now on.
Good luck and just enjoy yourself camping.

You are counting the pin weight twice in your gross combined calc. You are adding it to the truck and it is already included in the dry trailer weight. Add 2800 lbs to your last number.

You Know what your weight was, weigh what you take out and put in the bathroom scales are close enough.

I figured the weight of two bikes and a rack for them is under what my trailer bumper is rated for with the WW scales we have.
