did i overbuy my wdh

I am in the process of buying a 2016 Rockwood Roo 23RS, The listed GVWR is 4780. 12% of 4780 is 573.6 tongue weight. I had an EAZ lift WDH with antisway delivered from amazon. My problem now is I think I overbought. I purchased the 1,000 lb tongue weight model when I think I should have purchased the 600 or even the 800 lb model. The max tongue weight for my 2015 Colorado truck is 900 lbs and a towing capacity of 7,000 pounds.
I talked to the manufacturer of the hitch and he said it will work but it will be a stiff ride.

Should I try and return the hitch for the 600 or 800 lb bar version?

Thanks
