Thanks everyone, well it passed the DW test yesterday. She always had a hard time napping in the Dodge as it was quite noisy and rode real rough. On the way home yesterday after picking up some plywood I was chatting with her and well there she was napping away just like she does in the Escape.

Free wheeling front axel on ford = better fuel economy. I'll take that archaic technology any day!

I got it here in Moose Jaw at Moose Jaw Ford. The owner kinda felt he owed me I guess after a bad deal on my 02 Windstar lease back in 04 and after he appologized he said he would get me back in a Ford one day and he did keep his promise. That guy is pretty cool, he personally has a gun metal grey Ford GT, a teal green 69 Shelby GT500, an orange 2011 GT 500KR and he just got one of the new 2013 662hp GT500 Shelby mustangs.

I'd say he was a really cool guy if he let you test drive each of those!

Nice stable of machinery; not to mention the storage building in which they must be housed!

the stuff, I got an eco at capitol ford in Regina in Feb. Talk to Adrian Dennis and his team (for me it was Harry Urzada and Mike Miller). The deal was fair, quick and I didn't feel like I was getting bent in any way. If you do talk to them, tell them I mentioned them to you.
Cheers

since I put new tires on my Dodge it is noisier and has a rougher ride that is ok with me I drive a 3500 quad cab Dodge truck if I want a nice smooth quite ride I'll buy an SUV.

I hear you, but as I have mentioned in the past, having a DW with a bad back and watching the tears rolling down her cheeks when we are supposed to be having an enjoyable vacation trip kind of puts a damper on our trip. The ride quality is an easy fix on a Dodge if you want to spend between 3 and 5k on a Carli suspension setup which I was willing to do but with all the other stuff (comes back to the 42 trips for warranty in the 1st 25 months) as there were still things that should not have been wrong with a 54k truck. I will however state that I doubt any manufacturer will back a product better as Chrysler Canada extended the bumper to bumper for 60,000km to 100,000km to try and make sure it got fixed. (we do not have the same lemon laws in Canada as the US) The 4th gen Dodge is a much nicer truck as well but you know the old saying "Once Bitten" so it will be along time to heal from that debical. FWIW I see Dodge is now on their 5th or 6th update to the front suspension since 03 to try and get them to steer right on the 13's and the newest design is pretty much the front end of a Superduty Ford, radius arms and all. That design was pretty much right from Sage Carli as he has been offering that as an update for 3rd gen Dodges for some time now. Not trying to diminish the Dodge trucks in any way as like I said IMO the 3rd gen trucks are still the nicest looking trucks on the road. Bottom line is HD trucks do not have to ride like steel wheeled wagons given the technology out there but as long as people accept it they will keep cutting corners and from the look of all the big 3's current crop the manufacturers have realized we don't want to drive wagon carts anymore for the most part. One other thing my trucks spend 1/2 their life on dirt roads that can be anything from highway smooth to 4 or more inches of clay muck that you have to drive through in 4wd just to get to work, so much so there was no paint left on the lips of the rear fenders and I had smashed 2 sets of inner fender liners from rock damage at -30 or so plus I haul tractors, water and you name it around on my flat deck. So yes for someone who lives in the city an SUV would be fine but I need a good HD truck for what we use it for so I am not ashamed of having my cake and eating it too.

So true...the suspension of the dodges is nit quite as good....and the interior of the Chevy was the reason I ended up with a ford super duper DOOTY!....LOL...

You mention carli, and I had the opportunity to ride in a pintop equipped F250.......all I can say is WOW!!!..everything was so smooth and plush!!!.....and this was off road!!...almost as nice of a ride as my wife's bmw X6......ALMOST!.......this kit had the overloads the rear ...talk about having your cake and eating It too!!... those kits are kinda spendy though....like 4k I believe.........if ride quality was on my top priority list I would be looking hard at sage's offerings....I'm running an icon with the upgraded shocks....still better than stock....much better actually.....it's no carli pintop, but for my city slicker driving it manages the urban jungle just fine...

Does Ford make an F650? The way these 5th wheels keep getting heavier each year I may as well go all out. Every time I see a coach I want I can't tow it with what I have.

I'm sure they will design a trailer that even that will not handle if there is not one already..

So far I have no regrets trading my 06 silverado crewcab 5.7 for my current 05 f250 super duty crewcab 6.0 diesel. Love it!
