Ding Dong the Dodge is Gone !!!!

Stupid Ford dealer, we had that 2011 F250 for 4 days and took it back Monday. Got our truck out of the body shop on Tues and found out the owner of the dealership had given the Dodge a go over. So they gave us more for our Dodge than the book, took a couple k off the Ford and added tailgate seals, rear inner fenders and fixed some dings on it. Then they got me new car rates on the loan so it was not nearly as upside down as I thought. Next thing you know that darn Ford followed us home and hid in the Quonset.

I am very happy to have finally got rid of that Dodge, as much as we loved the look it rode like a tank as well it took a major redesign to make a decent interior which our Gen 3 was lacking. 7.8 mpg kinda sucked as well towing.

Pickuptruck.com kinda said it all.

If any test turned our opinion around about Ford’s 6.2-liter V-8, it was the 16 percent grade. We haven’t embraced it like Ford’s old 6.8-liter V-10 because we didn’t think it lived up to that engine’s legacy -- until we put it on this hill.
The 6.2-liter V-8 ran up the hill a full 5 seconds and almost 5 mph faster than its next closest competitor, the Silverado. Its rpm seemed to pick up faster than the Hemi’s or the Vortec’s, and it was so fast that it shifted into second gear during one run, though it lost about 1,000 rpm and immediately downshifted. During the other sprints, the F-250 remained exclusively in first gear to top of the hill approaching near redline. The whole run the F-250 howled like a muscle car, not a three-quarter-ton truck with a combined weight of more than 17,000 pounds.

Kind of wish I had a Ford once in a while since there ain't been nothing around here since 1980 but Chevrolet 4x4's. Problem is I don't know if I remember how to get out and lock in the front hubs since the last time I had to do it was 1993.

LOL The Super Duty hubs are auto locking with manual override. The Dodge for sure and GM as well I think are full time running the entire front axle assy. For abt 1900 bux you can put manual lockers in. They have the setup available for the Fords to but they don't need it as bad as the others.
