Do I have to pull into Weigh Scales
I am picking up my first RV, it is a 5w and is registered as a 33' but full
length is 39.7 and with my truck I will be looking at apprx 56'. So to get to my question, do I need to pull into the weigh scales while on the road? and do I need to do them all? Please let me know as I am really concerned as I don't want to get pulled over for passing one up!!! Thanks in advance for any help,
JudiVan

No you do not need to pull in. You are not a commercial vehicle, you pull a RV

In Maryland, per the letter of the law, you're "technically" supposed to, but no one is going to stop you if you don't AND you'll likely get sneers and jeers if you do.

Been RVing for over 45 years I. Everything from a truck camper to a 43 foot fifth wheel and have never pulled into a weight station.

Well I think the key is make sure you know the laws.. Or at least try, do not just believe it because it was on the internet forum.
We had this battle a few days ago... Here is PA one would be correct to say a RV does not need to stop at a weight station (unless directed to of course), but you could be weighted by them if they wanted. You would be more likely to meet a PD weighting / inspection than a DOT weighing (at the weight station on the interstate). The inspection can be done on any vehicle on the roadway with the proper causes which could include a scale trip.

So long as you don't have a commercial transport lic on the side of your TV then just drive past. Its tunnels and bridges that don't allow propane that you need to watch for in big cities.

CA weigh station info.
I live in California and called HWY Patrol. They do not weigh, but gave me this web site: CDFA - DMS - Public Scales Listing Good for CA only, and some charge. Best you call your local state agency to get information.

We have been from Texas to California, Nevada, Utah Colorado, NM, Ark to New York and Maine then back. Have never stopped for one. I figure if they want me, they will let me know. California even has signs at their weigh stations saying no pick up trucks. Just enjoy the ride.

Weight station
No not in any state. Not even if you were driving a 45' motor home pulling a toad.
