Well, I did it. I pulled the trigger on a 2011 F250 with the 6.7L! I'm really excited to see what it can do with my trailer! Thanks for all the input.

Had a 2003 Silverado Duramax 6.6l diesel...had been used to plow snow....when it desolved on the road we got talked into a new 2012 Ford F250 gas truck by a slick salesman (..."it'll do all your 2003 diesel would do, and for less money"...). Nothing against the Ford, probably did all it was supposed to do...just not what he said it would do! Drove to Florida one year and got to hate the thought of getting into it, let alone driving it. Couldn't pull our fifth wheel up a hill, shifted every time we went over a painted line and got about 7 mpg (was told it do 11-12 mpg). Before you say I was gullible, trust me I know, paid for it BIG time. After a year bought the truck I should have in the beginning...2014 Silverado Duramax 6.6l diesel....now I'M a happy camper!!

Congrats, I switched over a few months ago. I will never go to a gas pump again ( except for lawnmower gas ). You will love it towing.

Not to start a war here but....

If you are going to go F250, what is the reason for not going the full monte and getting a F350? And, in fact a F350 Dually?

We are upgrading to a Cardinal and will be upgrading our truck and are looking to ya'll for advice

Torque!

We have a RAM 3500 Dually diesel, pulling a 38' Prime Time Sanabel fifth wheel, weighing in at about 16000 lb fully loaded. The other day I had to cross over a five lane highway without a traffic light. Traffic on the highway was moderately heavy, so I floored the truck, and was doing 30 mph by the time I crossed the road! You just gotta love the low end torque of a diesel engine!

Congrats! You won't be able to wipe that smile off your face when you tow with it!
