Congrats on the new truck.
I will look into that thanks. Here's a picture of the truck

Did I read this right and you say that truck only has a 8800 GVWR? Very nice truck BTW.

I will look again but I'm sure that's what it said on the door. I will take a picture later and post it and you can tell me if it's correct

I'm not disagreeing with you. Just seems weird an '11 having that. Must be because it's a gas motor. My '05 has a 9000# GVWR and that's low for now days.

They did have 2012 Laramie that had a 9000# rating. I assume it depends on model and options. The 2012 was just out of my budget.

I've got A 2011 Ram 1500 that has an 8700# rating. That is why I have stuck with mine. However with the new 2500 offering the 6.4l. I may be tempted to move to up to one.

I'm still trying to find out what the GCVWR is for the truck. Can't find it on the sticker.

Click on this link and look up the model of the truck you have.

http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/201...ammlup2500.pdf

If I'm reading the chart correctly it looks like you will have a GCWR of 15,000 lbs. for a truck with a 3.73 rear end or 18,000 if you have a 4.10 rear end.

Thanks for the link. I do have the 3.73 rear end. I will look at the site though.
