I could see getting one as it will return better mileage for day to day driving and better at towing, so if your in the market for a truck then its a win if your looking for a tow vehicle then it may not be the best. Diesel does not mean tow vehicle and the power is on the low side for the size of the truck.

Now if GM made a Sierra with a diesel then I would get one and it would be the best thing ever no matter what it would tow

I am sort of interested to see the final figures on the Canyon duramax when it comes out, it will fill the bill for me as a light duty tow vehicle and daily driver.

I read on another forum that the 4 door1/2 tons of today are the replacement for the soccer moms mini vans of the 90s

No Dodge products are using the V6 diesel in North America. Only Jeep and Ram.
