The -5000 series will not fit inside coil springs which are what is standard equipment on the Ram 1500 Gen 4 series (since 2009). But, not really an issue. The -1000 (a few hundred bucks less) will easily bring the truck back to level when loaded. Any load that the 1000 couldn't handle is not relevant because that load will exceed the maximum axle weight rating. No air spring can increase the specifications for either maximum vehicle weight or maximum axle weight.

At some point during every day you suddenly realize nothing else productive is going to happen the rest of that day. For me, it usually occurs around 9 am.

We used Firestone Ride-Rites on our '02 Ram 1500. They were recommended for our then Lance slide-in camper. They did a great job. We have used Firestone Ride-Rites since on our '08 Sierra 1500 and our 2013 Silverado 1500 when used as a TV. They are well worth the money, easy to install, and have longevity.

We recently towed a fully loaded cargo trailer (7500 GVW) with 50 lbs in the bags for 1,700 miles. Smooth level ride and made towing a breeze.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions, I have my homework cut out for me, well research anyways. Love the truck and how well it pulls, but I think adding a little help in the back will make it a half ton towing monster....(A monster that will be kept within its factory towing specs!)
