Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab as a Toad?

I have a 2010 Berkshire 390bh with the 350HP Cummins and 10,000lb hitch. I currently have a 2003 Dodge 2500 Ram quad cab diesel long bed. Looking for a dinghy but dont want to give up having a pickup. I know the 2500 is flat towable but is 7700lbs. Thinking of trading it in for a 1500 quad cam hemi short bed (roughly 5500lbs) and towing this truck. Any feedback on towing a Ram 1500 with this Motorhome? Am I going to regret towing a 5500 lb dinghy? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave
