dodge ram trailer brake question

I just purchased an 2005 ram 1500 4x4 5.7 v8, my problem is it came from the factory with a 4 wire trailer hitch wiring harness, rather than the large, round 7 wire like most trucks come with, I am installing a trailer brake controller and have not found a connector under the dash to plug in the trailer hitch controller wiring harness. does anyone know of this system and how to identify the correct connection, or worse yet am I going to have to run and splice the system in? sorry for such a long post. thanks Tom

Hate to say but there is no plug if you don't have the tow package.
