Duramax for me

I've had four GMs so far. 1968 Chev 3/4 ton gas. 1996 Chev 3/4 gas that couldn't drive by a gas station without going in for a fill-up. Then switched to a '98 chev 6.5 diesel. Put 280,000 kms on that but did replace the injector pump on warranty. Now I have the 2013 Gmc Duramax 4x4 s/b 3.73 diff. The new truck looks nice, is quick as a jack rabbit, pulls effortlessly, and gets decent fuel economy. The most telling point occurred last week. My wife has refused to drive any truck I've owned... Until the latest one. She took the beast into town and actually said it was nice to drive. That's says a lot!

GMC probably today. But next year, might be a Chevy. But it will never be a Dodge (call it a ram all day long it is still a Dodge) and most likely never a Ford, but...

Fiat poured a ton of money into Chrysler. That is why the Ram fit finish and overall design is
so much better. Last time l looked the Italians make some sweet cars. Ferrari, Bugatti, just to name a couple. I am sure their are a whole lot of Chrysler employees that are happy they did.

I do own a Ram 2013 3500 6.7 Cummins. Go to any truck stop and ask the drivers what kind of engine they have under the hood. 99.9% will say Cast Iron in line 6. Same as you find in the Rams.

As far as trade or sale goes l traded my low milage 5.9 in for more than half of what l paid for it. It was an 06

I don't think you can find a bad truck these days. All will have an issue or recall. And all will do what you bought them for. I could care less which HD truck I own. Blindfold me and have me pick a set of keys out of a hat and I'd be happy with which ever one I picked. I choose Ram for now because at the time they had the best dealer/factory discount going. The amount of competition between the big 3 is the best thing to happen in 15 years.
