Does this rim size and tire size go well together ?

I bought 4 tires st205/75r15 and just found the rims for a good price and they are 15" X 6" wide. Will these fit well together ?

I think that for this tire it is usually a 5" wide tire and I bought 6" so wonder how much that inch will affect my safety etc

I wouldn`t think a half inch on both sides would change anything , but don`t hold me too it.

Looks like I will be fine, that's a peace of mind. Would have sucked if I would have had to mail them back, lol.

Your 205/75R15 will work fine on the 6 inch wheel.

Tires and rims

Yes they will work together. I know they will mount up with 6 inch width and think they will also mount up with both 5.5 and 6.5 width. You didn't mention the load range but if it's c or d there shouldn't be an issue. Keep in mind that d range are usually filled to 65 PSI and that's the max for standard valve stems so you might want to go with a higher pressure stem.

I actually have load range D. I never thought of the stem, good tip and looks like I should be ok according to your post.
