E2 Fastway Sway Control Hitches 1,200 - 12,000 Trunnion 92-00-1200

Ok ,After searching the net and stopping at a dealer around the corner from my house I came across a WDH called E2 Fastway Sway Control Hitches 1,200 - 12,000 Trunnion 92-00-1200. Looks almost exact to the equal-I-zer. Has anybody ever used one of these. I read some reviews and it was rated pretty high. Any comments or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the sway control ability (approx 80%) of the EQ 4 point comes from the hitch head sockets which the E2 does not have. Other than that they are about the same. There is a good reason why the E2 is cheaper than the E4.

For 1200 lbs I'd spend the extra few bucks for the Equal-i-zer

I totally agree the price difference in the two makes the original Equal-I-zer the only way to go. See this thread for more issues.

Yes, I used to own one. Don't ask me how I know about the issue in that other thread . . .

I bought the e2 1000/10000 for my setup - but any longer/heavier trailer I'd go with the full Equalizer hitch with 4-point sway. Our trailer is GVWR 6050 lbs.

As with all weight distribution hitches, proper setup is key. I had to pop another $100 for a longer shank. I bought the hitch from http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/r...ol-hitches.htm - they had the best price I could find. I also bought their ball, grease, and the quieting sway-bar jackets. Before the jackets, the hitch was very noisy.

I find the e2 perfect for our towing needs. I feel little to no sway when being passed by trucks and other large vehicles. I drove last fall in 40-50 mph winds hitting me broadside --- and again, little to no sway. I did slow down to like 45 mph though.

Agree with most...get the 4pt sway control Equalizer. I believe the potential benefits outweigh the small cost difference.
I also know that the 4pt Equalizer is made in USA, and have heard that the E2 is made in China. Something to consider.
