I took my new 2015 Ford F350 6.7 to the Cat Scales and went thru the Weighing Trinity of just TV, TV with trailer with WDH engaged and TV with trailer without WDH engaged. I then went to this web site,
Travel Trailer Weight Calculator | Safety Report and entered the numbers along with the other data requested about my TV and everything looked OK as far as the capacities of the TV go.
I attached the PDF of the entire report but here's a picture of just the results and the part that I have a question about.
The results, this all looks great to me:
This displays the part I have a question about
:
The front axle weight with the WDH engaged is 4800lbs, with no trailer it's 4900lbs. I'm wondering if this too much weight removed from the front end of the TV? It's about 2% lighter with the WDH engaged compared to with no trailer.
It took me a lot of trial and error to get to this point. I've got some stuff that I usually take I can move to the storage in the rear of the trailer, from the truck bed, to add a little weight to the back of the trailer and take some weight off the tongue but I don't want to if the 100lbs is not a big deal. What do you think?
