Eaz Lift sway bar???

We just purchased our HG 312QBUD and the dealer installed the required hitch with one sway bar. Our trailer weight is over 6K LBS. My questions is do we need to install second sway control and it was suggested on the EAZ sight, anything over 6K needs two sway bars?

Hi,
Did you purchase a weight distribution hitch like an Equalizer 4 point? If so, what type?
Makes all the difference on the required sway bars.
I have the Equalizer 4 point and do not require a sway bar but I did need one with my old chain style hitch.

Big Paul,
If you mean you are looking at changing your hitch type, I love my Equalizer like many here but other's like the Reese SC Weight Distribution w Sway Control - Trunnion
You can search the forums above for opinions.

I am wondering having a trailer over 6000 lbs do we need two sway bars? I just want to be safe going down the road. EAZY lift sight recommends two sway controls for anything over 6000 lbs. Does anyone have two sway bars on thier rig?

I added a 2nd sway bar that I bought from Harbor Freight for about $40 and I am really happy with it. Having the two bars adds another 45 seconds to the set up but it makes a nice difference.

Just to let everyone know the dealer said I needed two sway bars and they missed it. They are installing second one at their cost .
