Electric brake controller on Tundra

Anyone know what is the best setting to use on a 2019 Tundra with Factory Electric Brake controller. Towing a Rockwood 2109S Dry Weight is 4100 lbs.

Thanks

Claude

There isn’t a set number. You need to drive slowly down the road and then apply trailer Brakes only using your hand. When you find the setting that basically stops truck and trailer without locking up tires on the trailer you have your best setting

I start at midpoint on the controller and adjust until the rig feels like the trailer is stopping the trailer and the truck is stopping the truck. If the rig stops/slows better than it does when your not hooked to the trailer, your setting is too high. This is assuming you have good brakes on your TV, lol.

Most say drive at 25 mph to set the settings. Tire lockup is bad also.

Enjoy your trip. Loved my Tundra only two downfalls with mine. I had 26 gallon tank and wanted a 4x4. I believe you have a larger tank.

My 2012 had the wiring already in place, just add your favorite controller.

Set the Tundra for your trailer and do the test. Same size for us with a new trailer was 4.5.
