Emergency Brake

Need some ideas on where I should attach my Emergency Brake cable and why you think that is the best place.
Thanks in advance,
Wayne

What type of camper, style of hitch?

I have a PullRite Sliding 5th wheel. I attach the e-brake cable to a hole in the hitch head, where I put a pad lock for safety. It's high enough the things in the bed won't accidentally pull it or interfere.

I would hook it near center of the bumper with a quick link.

Easy to do and you need to be there to hook and unhook everything else.

My long cable runs down inside the rail, under the spring bar and over the chain then up to the the hook.
It hangs freely yet is contained.

It should the attached to the frame of the TV (the hitch can be considered part of the frame). Have seem people attach to the chain (bad idea). If the TT was to break away from the hitch and the chain snapped then the brake away switch would not work.

I guess some people use a sacrificial link or some kind of special hook...
I don't know...

I attach the cable to cargo hook at the back of the box. No interference with anything in the bed. Right beside my in bed 7 pin connector.
