Equalizer with Geny Hitch
I did a mock up of the adapter that I`m in the process of getting these to together. Please note that this is just a mock up of what it will look like. Not for use in anyway shape or form .

The steel adapter will have a top plate and gussets. A few of you was wondering so I decided to post it now before its done. It should work but if it doesn`t then I`ll use it on my other trailer without WDh .

Why the new thread?
Better to keep this documented in your original.

I thought it would be documented better if I added both hitch names . I tried looking online for any info about this set up. Nothing came about. Geny said it would work with weight distribution. I recently emailed them about building adapter plates for WD heads. but have since seen no relpy yet. I bought this model because it was shorter. Just the geny alone is 8 inches long from truck receiver . So all together from truck receiver end to center of ball is 15.75 inches. May take alittle bit of time to dial it in but I`ll do my best.

It does look sort of like that doesn`t it. Maybe we can come up with a flashy name for it.

Go to geny hitch.com and start reading, too much to list . Main thing I`m after is to break the shock transfer between truck and trailer and vise versa . Its and hit or miss @ this point.

This was discussed on his initial thread.
I think he has a unique problem that he wants to address, that most people do not experience???

I`m going with the game plan that this maybe a cheaper solution to a air hitch. Read what geny hitch claims it does and thought why not mate it up with my current equalizer hitch. Won`t know until I try it .

Honestly, I would be concerned that the flexibility in the geny hitch might fight the benefits of the WDH. If not already done, I would consult Equalizer technical service. They are fantastic, and will give you good, honest feedback.

I agree with you and that is my main concern about this set up. Geny hitch said it will work with WDH. But that's all they said. Told them my plan and never received a reply back. I have emailed Equalizer 2 times on other matters and within a day , They respond back. If you ask me they have a way better customer service than geny hitch does. I`ll shoot Equalizer a email tonight about this. At this time its a hit or miss. Its a go or a 60 pound geny hitch boat anchor .

Equalizer said they have no idea how it will work, but not saying that it won`t work. Altering the hitch will void the warranty , which a warranty doesn`t concern me . My friend has my 5/8`` plate cut so I`ll pick it up this weekend . I got a few more cuts to make and some bevels to grind.
