Just FYI, from my reading of it, J2807 only addresses GCVW and braking as well as understeer, oversteer, and sway. Payload specifically is not addressed although it could be argued that payload is affected by understeer, oversteer and sway. As most of us can attest, it is payload and not GCVW that limits what we can tow according to the lawyer sticker.
