Short bed and slider (SUperglide) is the way to go. You can actually park it in a parking spot.. If you use the truck at all for a daily driver, then you will regret the Long bed UNLESS you get a standard cab..

I have to disagree I have a crew cab long bow F-350 and my wife drives it for a daily driver. She takes it anywhere she needs to go with not problems.

X2
My company trucks have all be crew cab long beds and all it takes is a little common sense when parking.
I always park my personal/work truck away from everybody else anyway. I believe the additional room makes up for minor loss of some turning radius.
Heck , go test drive both and see what you like.

The only problem I see is if you get a CC LB dually 4x4 and try to park it in a garage.

I bought a 5th wheel at the end of this camping season. I have a gas Ram 2500 with a short bed. Im looking at diesels now and will be going with a long bed. For me personally I like the look of the short bed but functionality comes before looks this time around. You will appreciate the e tra space in the bed.

I went from a 1/2 ton Dodge Short bed to this one ton crew cab long box and have actually found it to be easier to get it in to a parking spot with the one ton.

I have a LB F-350 CC and it fits in my garage every night. Of course, there is not much room in front or in back. I have 1 inch in back and one inch in front! LOL! I have a tennis ball hanging from the ceiling that touches my windshield when I'm positioned properly!

It's a pretty good size. I used to get my F-150 with a 6 1/2 foot box in there with 2 foot shelves at the end and have room to walk between the truck and the garage door. To get the F-350 in there, the shelves at the bottom had to be shortened to 1 foot.
