The longer wheelbase does help some when pulling a 5er also, but not to the extent of when pulling a TT.

I purchased a Chevy 3500 dually diesel with long box. I installed a tool box in the box and still have room for other items. If you want to carry anything in the box beside the 5ver, then the long box is your best choice.

Long bed Ford will get you a 36 gallon tank. Short bed Ford has a 26 gallon tank. I have a short bed but don't pull a 5'ver. 26 gallon tank didn't bother me because I am ready for break before I need fuel. I liked the short bed as it is my daily driver.

New F250

Took delivery of 2014 Ford power stroke Crew Cab 6 1/2 foot bed two weeks ago. Because of health problems I am not currently driving at all, so DW does it all including daily driving. She is still having size difficulties (parking) but she is progressing. It does fit into the garage (just barely). Towed 5'er home here in flatland with absolutely no problems. Equipped with the Reese Revolution with dealer installed mitch. Lots of peace of mind with the diesel power!

my 2012 f350 crewcab longbox is great for camping, I can hookup trailer with the golf cart in the bed along with misc. gear. It sucks in parking lots and confined areas.

Bobby;

Congratulations. I love my 2013 SB Crew Cab Power Stroke. What color did you get? Don't know if you are an electronics kind of guy, I am. I just love all the electronic toy and connectivity. I figure that if I spend so much time in it, I want to have everything I can available.......
