OK I am back again . I decided to call around to some of the local used truck dealers to see if any one of them had a 7.3 Dually, one place I called pointed me to a 2006 Dodge 3500 Cummins Dually with 2wd. Truck looks pretty nice on CL 2006 DODGE DUALLY CUMMINS DIESEL LARAMIE LOADED VERY CLEAN! told the guy to check out my listing and see if we could do business. He "Talked" to the boss and called me be back. They said they would do my truck and 12,600. I am not hardcore brand man so a Dodge works for me and I know that the Cummins is a good engine. A quick check around the interwebs and this seems like a decent deal. Again I am looking for input.

You will want to check out 3 things. The front ball joint,which are a common problem. Also check out the service history on tranny and inspect the driveshaft. If the driveshaft is damaged they do not sell replacements. You have to get them made.

Was talking with my neighbor he suggested taking to the local dodge dealer and have them go through it. He said even if it cost a couple hundred dollars it would be worth it.

I can't see the price. What are they asking and what are they giving you for trade?

If it's in Ocala, take it to Firestone on Pine. Metals with Chris or James and tell them to go thru it. Tell them Doc sent you.

Yeah there is no price on the CL listing. My truck and 12,600. I figure my truck is worth in reality about $9500 give or take so about 23K. That is a good price looking around the interwebs but, some of the trucks I compared were lower mileage. Plan on heading down tomorrow to take a look at it besides they want to see my truck anyway. I am curious to see what they say about my truck anyway.

How far from Ocala? I need to go out of town for a soccer game for my son but depending on time, maybe I'll cruise over and check it out.

My good buddy works at this dealer in Ocala and has a 2000 F350 DRW ext cab. $12,900 I believe. Talk to Joe and tell him Doc sent you if you are interested.

This dealer only sells clean cars and trucks and they are straight up, good people.

Just purchased a new to us 2008 F350 King Ranch with a 4.10 rear end. Haven't towed with it yet. Traded a 2004 Chev 2500 HD 8.1 gasser. Here are pics with the DW and at the storage lot seeing how it matches up ith the fiver

Didn't mess with the Dodge they were trying to rip me off. The F250 is sold (kinda) should do the deal with the buyer today or tomorrow. I have been looking around online mostly CL private owners and have expanded my search area out a lot further. I am really liking this truck 2003 3500 CHEVY SILVERADO LT CREW CAB from the pictures and after talking to the owner a couple of times I was going to go check it out yesterday only problem is when I called him Monday evening he said Sunday the gauges went Psycho and he had to ship them off for repair and should have them back late this week.

Well I bought the 2003 Silverado Diesel Dually yesterday. I am impressed with it so far, has just about any option you can think of. I had to drive it home about 125 miles and was extremely impressed with the MPG was getting around 22-23 MPG running at around 70. Needs some tires I actually used that fact in negotiations other then that everything is good to excellent. Will get tires tomorrow or Tuesday. Interested to see how it will pull the 5ver and what kinda MPG it will get pulling it. I also sold my F250 Friday was sad to see it go it was a good truck.
