I saw one of them on a rig last week and wondered what it was for now that I know I want one.

Just wanted to provide an update on the hitch head.

The manufacturer, Pullrite, has denied my claim for damages to the trailer and pickup, for a number of reasons. The denial was no surprise, but I had 3 technicians from 3 different dealers say there was no indication of "high-hooking" and put it in writing for me.

I have multiple pictures of the trailer hooked properly to the hitch, just prior to it failing and the trailer dropping. No, I didn't send them the pictures and they do want them, but told them there was no need to, since they had made their decision.

I just replied back to them, stating that the replacement hitch works much better than the original hitch, did. It hooked and released terribly, the replacement works like a charm and think it may have been damaged or defective from day one.

I had been waiting for their response, got it, it was time to move forward, put a claim in with my insurance company, let them handle it and now both units are scheduled for repair in a few weeks.

In my internet search for similar issues, I found, Pullrite makes a great hitch, has a good reputation, and yes, they do have occasional failures like what I experienced.

Disappointed with Pullrite, do see their point of view, disagree with them, but it's time to move on.

Thanks for the update! I think Pullrite is like every other company. They all have great warrantees and guarantees, but when it comes down to it, they all have a way to get of actually honoring them and paying up

That is no surprise to me they blamed mine on lack of lubrication and as you can see in the first picture full weld 2nd picture just tacked if I had the time I would start a lawsuit. And now they are the only auto slid game in town.

It's disappointing that PR disallowed your claim, but you're right, it's time to move on.

Send your info to the Good Sam action line. Maybe they can get pullrite to help you out.

It was PullRite who denied saying lack of lubrication.
