Fault in Trailer Wiring

Just started getting this message every time I start my F150. No trailer is attached. Any ideas?

I'd check inside the 7-pin plug. Might be dirty, allowing a small amount of current to pass across the pins.

Moisture in the plug receptacle. Common problem on Ford truck forums. Dry it out and seal the back of the receptacle.

Thanks. Live on a dirt road. And it has been very wet, muddy, and snowy here. I'll give that a try.

Good luck, I hope that is it, I have running lights that blow 20 amp fuse since I bought the 5er in 2012, the dealer plus the factory tried to fine it, both gave up now I just live with auto reset 20 amp fuse
