You bet, with all that power from a 5.3 going thru' a 3.23 rear end. But, it does do the same as the big trucks, i.e. tows a 5er from point A to point B.
OP...just an idea, try setting up a GoPro camera pointing at the hitch/back of bed of truck area and record what's happening during a typical pulling into and backing up in a camp site...might help too see what the culprit is and make adjustments from there...just a thought
