Just mounted my Air Ride Wireless One compressor forward of the spare tire. With wireless, no need to mount any controls in cab and it works perfectly.

Air lift with wireless compressor. Compressor, manifold, etc. mounted on a 8"x10" plate which is mounted in the front wall of the truck bed (very dry and no heat). The truck has a bakflip cover. Wires run to front of truck (2015 F250) upfitter switch. Air lines are short and run out the plastic port to each bag. Works great. Ford/Chevy/Dodge it makes no difference installing the compressor and components. They recommend a dry place away from heat. Easy to get to if problem occurs.

Ford F-250

I put mine on the back wall of the bed ( drivers side ) it's covered by the Retrax cover and box. Looks good and it's not in my way or in the elements.

we have so much salt and road crap in east Canada that i just went with the airlines placed where the license plate bolts used to be. two caps on them and no one ever notices them there.
and when the 5th wheel is hooked on it is an easy 2 feet to recharge them.

Mounted the compressor under the truck just behind the transfer case to the bottom of a cross brase under the the floor. A little tight but worked out great.

I had an 07 GMC and put the compressor on the frame with a plate like one other comment. Drove it for about 5 years and the aircompressor failed. Cost a bundle for another compressor. Now had a 13 Chevy 2500 HD and bought a cheap ($12.00) little compressor from a local Bi-Mart. I plug it into the cigarette lighter receptacle on the dash. I used one line and a "T" so both airbags are on the same line. That way if I lose one bag, I have lost both and am not lopsided. I put a small valve in the fuel tank filler door and fill my bags from there. I found I did not use the compressor that much and decided to buy a new rod and tackle with the money I saved on the small stand alone unit. If the $12.00 compressor fails, no big deal. When the compressor Les Schwab sold me failed, it was several hundred dollars to replace. So far, no big deal to use the small, separate compressor for the bags. As I got older I have moved from more complicated, installed systems to simpler uninstalled systems.

Put compressor behind passenger side battery under hood. Seems to work fine.

Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System for Air Helper Springs - Hand-Held Remote - Single Path Air Lift Vehicle Suspension AL25870

The clicky above will take you to a nice eTrailer.com video showing the Airlift one installed on an GMC3500. There are others for the 2500 and 1500. Basically, the compressor is mounted on the passenger side frame, in front of the rear wheel and approximately below where a back seat passenger would sit. The compressor on my 2015 2500HD was mounted on the outer side of the frame.

Air pump

I have used one in my 2008 Chevy 2500 HD 6.6 . I put the pump in the engine compartment and run the air line along the frame. Had to use a fishline in the box frame. put well worth it.
and the wire went thru the fire wall found a grommet and the switch I put right on the left hand side down low. It was a pump up / deflate switch.

Yes....I mounted it on the outside of the frame just under the driver's door.....that allowed for easy access with the hot wire directly up the firewall and straight to the battery under the hood that's directly in front of the fuse box.
