First pull with F 250

Hello All,

I just want to give a report of my thought on our first long Tow with our new to us 2018 F 250. We are pulling a 2906WS loaded came in at 8,100LB. I have to say I was really happy with the way the Truck pulled our camper. Tow haul on and locked out 6th it pulled great. 2200 RPM, I found on some longer and steeper grades if i got a little faster 68 to 70 the truck would climb and not down shift to 4th. We live in Northern Indiana and went to Memphis about 600 miles, so over all it is pretty flat but we did hit some rolling roads on 57 south. I would say my weekest thing right know is the Fastway E 2 hitch. We did hit some cross winds and did have some trailer sway, I think a better hitch would take care of that problem.
Over all i am really happy with the way the truck performed.

I have used that hitch on two different vehicles and it's been great. I think you need to check to see if it's dialed in correctly.

Granted, different trailers have different towing characteristics.

Who set it up? Did you? If you set it up, what's your measurements?

What do you consider a longer, steeper grade? Trying to get a reference since a steep grade in Indiana can be-far different from a steep grade out West.
