Gotta call BS on the test. Watch how the blocks are loaded in the bucket. You will see it change from jumbled to stacked and back.

Tool box test seemed pretty clear though.. Scary IF it is real.

So the Yotas have a PLASTIC bed? Not just a bed liner? Crazier yet!

Main reason I got my 2016 F250 and not a 2017.

Looks like there are some "issues" to work out.

How is a 5th wheel hitch going to hold up in that aluminum bed?

You have to remember who put the video out there. They are as bad as politicians. They will spin it in their favor every time. Look at the difference in how the tool box bounced in the two tests. It looks fishy to me.

The hitch should not be mounted to the bed. It should be mounted and supported by the frame. If your hitch relies on the bed I would look at replacing it with one that has underbed system like the pucks.

The test if flawed or not who cares.

I don't see any landscaper around my HOA hauling blocks in there Chevy or Ford. They use a landscape trailer as they unload using a bobcat. Who is going to hand bomb a ton of stone all broken to bits.

Same tool box. I won't bounce much if it is puncturing the bed like it did in the soda can Ford.

I am a Ford guy, have been for years. All I can say is WOW. I certainly hope there was something fishy with the video.

Seriously.. I get that these videos are to make a point ( I do love my Chevy).. But WOW! I hope they "staged" that a bit to make a point if you will... At first I was like, OK, I am not dumping a Bobcat of cinder blocks into my 50,000 F150 or 1500... But the tool box BLEW MY MIND!

Is this bed only on the 150? or the others as well?

Not staged at all. My buddy is a stunt man out in Cali and worked on this commercial. He is one of the guys in the hard hats. He said it really happened. They were all stunned at the damage of the Ford bed.

Why didn't they use the same tool box for each test? The only reason I can think of is they didn't weigh the same.

I thought it was, I'll have to look closely. Either way to me this is a problem. Maybe not to the mall cruiser that had a truck to be the cool one on the block... But those who actually use their truck's... Big issue here

That's why I put plastic bed liners in any truck I buy. I'm a Duramax guy btw.

All I can say is, I've had more than one item go "thump" up against the back of the cab, and pretty much every time I get a pallet of mulch or anything at Home Depot the guy driving the forklift bangs the corners of the skid into my wheel wells. I've also had to drag heavy steel items across the bed with a tooth filling screech. Ever see what a 5 gallon bucket of scrap mined from the berm at a shooting range looks like?

Seems like any one of those could put a serious gouge or crease in that aluminium.

I got rear ended once and my bumper put two 3" scrapes in the fender. Just barely creased it. They came right out. Would those have been tears?

I like my 2013 F-150 more and more. But if I'm going to upgrade, better do it before they "improve" the Super Duty
