Something that will not hurt the Ford...

Bubble Wrap Tough!

Seriously.. I get that these videos are to make a point ( I do love my Chevy).. But WOW! I hope they "staged" that a bit to make a point if you will... At first I was like, OK, I am not dumping a Bobcat of cinder blocks into my 50,000 F150 or 1500... But the tool box BLEW MY MIND!

Is this bed only on the 150? or the others as well?

It's for all fords I buddy of mine, who owns a body shop, went to Ford training on body repair, and the "teacher" dropped socket wrench on a fender and it wrinkled the fender pretty good. He said a coke can is thicker.

I agree though, no one will drop bricks into a pickup from a bobcat, but yea, the toolbox shocked me as well

So Ford trucks really need a bedliner.

I can't imagine the flat billed cap wearing gangsta buying a truck, but things change I guess.

Well.. Not into my F150.. Father has a large construction company also does plowing. His 250's get loads of sand, stones, brick, block and salt dumped, loaded or pushed by fork lift into them. I can see this as an issue, honestly. The guys drop blocks and bricks all the time from the cubes into the beds which makes a dent sometimes, but it IS a work truck. Now I can see this causing it to go through the bed! Sad if this is 100% accurate. I am sure a new video will be posted by Ford about how they can do something better... It is Chevy propaganda, but still!

Yeah, but if the underlying support is weak the plastic bed liner will just crack.. Or at least hide the holes for a while. Wonder if a Line X or Rhino Liner would help the issue.

All this just to eek another 200lbs payload and 2MPG..

Rhinoliner

Then bed mat

Then bed liner

Then bed rug

Or maybe the bed liner before the bed mat

My 2008 Duramax is not near as tough as my 2002 was. Bed metal is certainly thinner in the 08. Line-X for me on every truck.

Scary to think that the new super duty's will be all aluminum like this too... certainly alot of F150's never see anything in the bed, but us farmers / ranchers / construction workers who use trucks... this would be a serious problem (assume its as butter soft as the video shows)...
