Thank goodness SabreDoc is bringing a large supply of anti-Turbs FT serum. We need to call Ms. Amy and see if she can't give you a booster shot to hold you over til Aug. Maybe one every other day? At 50¢/dose, don't know if it's worth it, that would be about $12.50 down the toilet.

Just to interject (where I probably shouldn't) - it's a jet ski, not a fishing boat - different priority.

Also, no butter on mine please, trying to get cholestrol below 5000.

Yes the 3 up road train can be done. But all hell will break loose when you have to do an evasive maneuver. Remember I said when, not if. That setup has crack the whip written all over it.

Of course a combination can be over 65'. "Normal" tractor trailer trailers are 53' long - add in the truck and you're well over 65'.
Most states allow double and some even triple trailers, usually 40' ones, so 80 to 120' of just trailers - plus truck and any tongue/bogey gear.

My neighbor used to tow his fishing boat behind his motorhome and about 5 years ago switched to a TT and considered towing the boat behind it. He told me in PA you need a CDL to do so - I've never checked but it sounded reasonable.

At age 16 - 3 months after getting my license I was hauling a hay bailer and two 40 foot (at least) trailers behind I well overloaded John Deer. In top gear down a major(Ish) highway, and I was on the highway proper not the shoulder. You couldn't drive that combo on the shoulder and keep it out of the ditch! The sloppy front end of the John Deer would wandering all over the road.

Funny, the things a 16 year old will do when their employer tells them to.

Took a picture of my neighbor this past weekend camping as he was leaving the campground. I have plans to set my rig to tow doubles, but I don't believe that I would do it with this rig.

Bottom line avolnek, do what you want to do and to heck with what others say. If you feel it's safe, go for it.

I see it all summer long in SD. We have a 75' limit and I'd guess that 75% of the 5th wheels going by on the highway are towing fishing boats. Alot of travel trailers are towing golfcarts or jetskis. Everyone else has a bike rack on the back. Me, I tow a BBQ pit behind our 5er.

Not sure double towing is for me, but when I see one I cheer the American Git'r Done Spirit that the RV culture has. If you don't exercise your rights, they will be taken away.

At the other end of this spectrum, certain states (CA) has a 55mph speed limit for anybody towing anything. Nobody follows this Nanny-State law, and if you do, you will be in the way of everybody else going 75-85mph.

My bro-in-law got stopped with his 45' diesel pusher and his car trailer and fined due to being 2 feet over the length limit. They made him disconnect his trailer, pull out his Jeep Liberty and have his wife tow the empty trailer to the state boarder.

Keep safe, stay in your comfort zone, and enjoy your freedom!

I have set mine up to pull my 14 foot flat bottom boat. Might weigh 500#. Tongue weight of 75#. Beefed up rear of frame and bumper. If my toys can't do what I need, then modify. That's the American Way ain't it? If we all went with, "not possible, not safe, don't do it," crowd. Then there would be no electricity, no airplanes, screwdrivers as chisels, wrenches as hammers, ect. I say modify till your hearts content. Just be safe about it.

I agree about the evasive maneuver ~ that's happened to us once pulling a 30 foot 5er and it was, plain and simple, a God moment ~ although, honestly, DH knew better than to swerve, he figured if the guy coming straight at us hit, our swerving wouldn't have helped any ( heavy traffic, doing 55, the guy in front of us lost it and ended up driving at us, ended up going between us and the car beside us ~~~~ miracle, I'm tellin' you!)

Now as far as pulling that?? you don't even want to see the damage path I'd leave
