Ford 5th wheel prep hitch?

Hey everybody just wondering, I have a 2012 F350 DRW with the fifth wheel prep package( under bed rail mounts) and want to know if the Demco hitch is just as good as the Reese? The Demco(21,000lbs) is about half the price as the Reese(18,000lbs).

First of welcome to the forums.

Do you have a link for the hitch you would like to use?

I got a quote from RVWholesalers on the Demco hitch of $645. The Cheapest I can find the Reese hitch is $1245.

I'm leaning towards the Demco hitch.

I see nothing wrong with that plan, looks like a tough unit.
Only concern would be its weight and getting it in and out of the bed.

And a near 600 dollar difference between the two will buy you a little fuel to feed the Ford.

Either one would be sufficient. We are in the works of buying a 2015 heritage Glen 356QBQ.
