most of the time in tow haul mode it stayed in 6th gear - sometimes to 5th on a hill when the guy in front of me in his 5.4 2010 Ford F150 was slowing.
2 adults, food, water tank full, gas tank full and the box had the generator and other stuff in it for the race week.

Ran cool and hauled perfectly.
Since then I've installed Firestone 2525 airbags and will test it on the long weekend in September.

My Ecoboost wouldn't down shift hauling the trailer until it hit 2500 rpm and then it went to 5th from 6th.
once it hit 3000 it went back to 6th gear. Nver slowed me down rather it let me to....

Some of the claims seem to stretch the facts a little.

I personally could care less what is posted about the Ecoboost one way or the other. It is just something to read.
So your original post was just talking out of your butt then? Nothing of value to add

So what year is your Duramax? I didn't realize they put them in 2005 1500's. Or just one more chance to talk out you your butt then? You seem to pretty good at that

Quit exaggerating MILCOP, obviously you're lying about your Ecoboost. We need to rely more on dunnnc to tell us what it can and canít do since he knows more about them then you do. I mean he drives a 2005 Silverado for crying out loud.

Sorry Len & Cheri, I have never uttered a word one way or the other on the Ecoboost. I personally don't care what claims are made for or against it. I am perfectly satisfied with my little 5.3L Chevy.

Ok it actually was more like 2459 rpms before shift so I lied.
Everyone saw the Ecoboost videos when it outhauled the Dodge (check disctionary defin.... AVOID) and the Chev just stopped to put air in the tires, change the oil and filter, and let the drivers have a cat nap right right?

I even had to get the DW to text friends of ours to pout their pedal through the floor cause I was gaining on then in the White Mountains at the end of a passing lane with a blue smoke beltching truck beside me which was 1/3 up on my trailer. Left that truck behind me - way back and passsed the one hauling in front of me on the next hill.

Love my Ecoboost!!! New performance exhaust next week Headers next month. Drag strip the month after.
