I understand this fully. No slide-on tow mirrors that I was able to find, so I'm stuck with the ones with the clip-on. Plus the factory mirrors are already angled back a fair bit so that makes the angle a bit worse. Don't like em even in day to day driving. Seems like they should be a couple of inches forward.

I love my big towing mirrows. They look big but once you get used to them they are great. If I get another truck I'll be looking for that option. I like them that much.

New question.... Advantages/Disadvantages of 5 1/2' box vs 6 1/2' box. Other than obvious one is longer than the other!

Well if you tow a ultraliteweight 5er all you need is a Reese Revolution with a 6 1/2 box. You will need a slider on the 5 1/2 box and even then a near jackknife will dent your cab

Harder to park. Wider turn radius. Desirable as a work truck so resale is a little better.

The previous comments plus

HD payload only available with 6.5' bed. ATV fits with the tailgate closed. Looks more like a "real" truck according to my 8 year old son, LOL.

More accessories available for the 5.5' bed. Payload is slightly higher with the 5.5' box.
