Wouldn't tow/drive a FoMoCo if it was given to me. Would give up camping first. When/if my old Chevy blows, I'll just replace whatever blows and keep towing with the Chevy and driving TOWTA's old junker.

I've owned 4X4 trucks for 41 years, often 2 at a time. Usually trade every 18 - 36 months. I've owned Chevy, GMC, Dodge, Ram, and even a Jeep. Never say anything bad about any of them, not 1/2, 3/4, or 1 ton. Never nothing bad to say but I know better now than to own anything but a Ford. Well, a free GMC diesel maybe and for sure another RAM if not used for towing.....

Don't wreck that new aluminum Ford.
Anything structural is a nightmare.
Time, expense and headache will be in your future.

Especially don't run your rig into a pillar at speed.
Saves the headache.

Ya ever notice it's always the Ford guys posting how great the truck is. Guess they like to brag. Guess they need to re assure them selves that they bought the right truck. Chevy and Dodge folks know they did good. No need to keep braging Later RJD

I don't brag ~ had more Dodge and GM than anything. Not one was a mistake ~~ just know what I like and others have not figured out trucks yet.

Ford is #1 again!

Have driven Ford trucks for work for years and would never waste my hard earned cash on one. The only good thing is they brake down a lot and I get payed wile sitting on the side of the road. The last good Ford truck I drove was a 1972 f250 with the straight six. It's funny to look at the parking lot at work and not one of us owns a Ford.
Oh and number one in sales doesn't equal to number one in reliability.

I have a F-250 but the best truck is the one that gets the job done and gets you home.

The perfect truck would be a Ford F-250 with a Cummins Engine and a Allison Transmission.

Donate a truck

Has anybody got a FORD for OC, he say he would quit camping if he had a FORD.

A rusty Junker would do, so he would have it all. Run down, rust, would not run good with lots of miles on it.

There is a company who does this. Take Cummins and put them in Ford's. Read about it in one of the diesel magazines.

And let's not forget the ones that should have been recalled. Where are all the poor people who bought a PS 6.0!

I wasnt going to get involved with this bashing, just let me say this. We live in which is undeniably the worst rust belt in the world. My 2000 250 SD diesel does not have ANY rust outs. The bottom inner panel on the doors is rusty, but they are still solid and it does not show from the outside. It has 210000 miles on it and I use it as my plow truck in winter since 2001 and we average 200 +" of snow a year here.It has been used since day one to haul my 14000# backhoe trailer,a 10000# dump box trailer ,a 12000# horse trailer w LQ,and for the last 5 years,a 5 er. Never once has it quit and had to be towed. The only parts Ive changed on the 7.3 are the glow plugs (2 years ago).It has the original transmission as well.I do all my own maintenence on all my wehicles. It has had the front rotors changed out and several sets of brake pads.I know full well that this is not fully representative of the brand and before it was ever driven on the road it recieved a ziebart,I took it home, drilled 1" drain holes where I thought it neede them, then took it back and had the whole truck ziebarted again. It has never had any body or paint work doe except changeing out the frot bumper that had an encounter with a turkey at 70mph. I am very anal about service andboth the 7.3 ,the trans, and both axles were drained and refilled with Amsoil at around 100 miles. At 5000 miles I started usein a pint of moly additive in the oil, each change.I do not do extended oil change intervals, usually 5 -6 k for oil and filter. The trans was chainged at around 100000 and since the filter looked brand new and there was no black "scum"film in the bottom of the pan,I have not done it since.I buff it and wax it once a year and most of the time (in winter) it is parked in my heated shop when not in use. So lets hear it from all you GM and Chryser guys to see how yours compair.
