Galaxy RoadRider ST Tires

OK, so I have 4 Galaxy RoadRider ST 205/75/15's on the TT and they are about worn out so it is time for new TT tires.

Do I need RV specific tires (if there is such a thing) or will any good radial tires work?

You need either 'ST' or 'LT' tires. ST are 'Special Trailer' and are built to have enough sidewall flex to accommodate the side forces that tandem-axle trailers see in turns. LTs are stiff enough to handle it too but are probably overkill on a 24' trailer. Do not use 'P' (passenger) radials. ST are also (supposedly) built to spend most of their time sitting in one spot.

I would tend to agree (obvious bias here) especially since the trailer has a max weight on the tires near 7000lbs (GVWR=7590, hitch=590) which is about 95% of LRC maximums.

The 2011 Coachmen Catalina 24FBS seems to have come with 14" tires so the 15" must already be an upgrade (or factory option). The smallest 15" GY Marathon LRD is 225/75R15 which will be a bit bigger than the 205/75 you have so check that you have enough clearance for tires that are a bit over 1" larger diameter.

They do look good though!

Thanks guys. There seems to be plenty of clearance so I think that I will check out the goodyears
