Gen-Y Hitches now makes a torsion hitch with WD bracket already on it. They just got the first batch fabricated. Mine should ship next week. Here is a CAD image of the hitch.

I asked them months ago about doing that. Got no response. I`ll email them and ask if I can buy the WD part and take the pintle plate head off. Save a lot on weight.

My understanding is this one clocks in at about 80 pounds...and I thought that was heavy....

That's just the geny hitch without the weight distribution head so with the head you will probably be in the 125 to 135 range . Just guessing on that.
Shipping weight on my pintle plate hitch was 60, my adapter I made was 32. Rest was bolts , handle and the equalizer head.

Golly day.... I was assuming it was in the same weight range as an air safe hitch... I guess these dudes are really well made!

Very well built and a lot less money than a air hitch. Easy maintenance as well. Just 2 grease zerks. My handle I built serves two purposes . handle to carry of course and also run my trailer cord threw it. Keeps it up on top and out of the hitches way.
