Geny hitch
Anyone know if the geny torsion flex hitch can be used with a wdh? I emailed the company and as of now no reply back. Thought maybe it would work nice mated up with my equalizer .

What would you do..........insert the WDH into the Geny Hitch ?? I am not familiar with the Geny Hitch, but I don't think I would attempt such a move,

Yes I would make a shorter hitch block that my equalizer head bolts too. That way it wouldn`t be so long and keep more weight closer to the TV. I got an email from the company . They said I could use a wdh with that hitch . I will have to call and ask more questions before ordering .

If the Geny Company says it is good to go, then that is great. I am always learning.
Post a picture of your setup when you get er done.

The gen-Y hitch bits are a means for a single vehicle to have the capability of pulling multiple types of trailer. Do you have multiple trailers?
If not, what problem are you trying to solve with the gen-Y hitch, air-ride hitch, etc? Using your Equalizer in this hitch may not be a problem. But what problem do you have in the first place?

I have two trailers , but I`m interested in the torsion flex hitch too help with the herky jerky I get like when you go on and off bridges @ highway speeds. Or other road conditions like joints or potholes. My tongue weight is 1150 with rzr in garage without loading things in the front under the bed. Maybe with my 1200# bars and a one ton dually my set up is too stiff. I run 6 washers in the head , but would like alittle more weight up on the steer axle.I got molding I need to refasten mainly due to road shock and poor craftsmanship .

I got the geny hitch model 1201, Got a few parts cut out for my adapter to bolt my Equalizer hitch head to . From truck hitch receiver end to center of ball will be 15.75 inches . Just 4.75 inches longer than the EQ head on current shank I have been using. So Its starting to come together.

Geny hitch is manufactured by easy hitch & haul out of Bremen Indiana. They make many different drop hitches and rubber flex hitch with uses the same technology as a torsion axle. Very well built for the money.

I decided to do a mock up of what it would look like . I currently don`t have the adapter plate welded up yet. When done I`ll be sure to give to a update on how it worked on the road.

That still looks like a Hensley turned "Sideways" and a plate welded on for a W/D hitch! Youroo!!

Its been a slow process but I got my adapter made for the geny hitch to accept a weight distribution head. Also made a handle for it.

Got some time to try the hitch out and I can say it works great . The Equalizer hitch does its part great while the geny hitch does its. I could tell the trailer was behind me due to the extra weight but it was like the trailer was floating behind the truck.(stayed nice and straight behind the truck but a much smoother ride) The extra weight is well worth it to me. This may help others who thought about doing this but haven`t yet done it.

Hello. New member here. I recently saw an ad for the Geny hitch. I have been wondering if there was a way for me to use my blue ox sway pro wdh with the Geny. I found your thread and think it is exactly what I need to be able to use it with my setup. I don't have your welding ability though. I was wondering if you could post a parts list of what you used so I can take it to a welding shop to have them make the same thing for me. Very nice work.

Thank you for your reply and insight. I will make sure I use a very competent welder. I'm computer illiterate and couldn't figure out how to send this through pm. Robert
